University located in Jhunjhunu,
Rajasthan was established
by an Act of State Legislature of Rajasthan. It is a Private University and
empowered to award degrees as specified under Section 22 of the UGC Act at its
main campus i.e. Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan with the approval of Statutory
‘Councils’, wherever required. Singhania University
provides numerous postgraduate and graduate courses including B.Sc, PG
Diploma, BJMC, UG Diploma. Under the MBBS course, Singhania University gives
you the opportunity to select any of the branches including Medical, Paramedical,
Pharmacy, Management, Veterinary. And under the Medical and Research
Department, the University has been able to provide good placements. This
college provides 100% placements in reputed companies with high salary
packages. Almost 90% of the students got internships from the college. Many
companies have visited the college, and we even had motivational talks with
those great people.
But there have been rumors floating around that Singhania University
have been providing illegal MBBS courses. A University Grants Commission issued
a notice saying that the passed out students of such unrecognized degrees will
not be able to register for practice as Singhania University has been running
these programs “illegally”.
Inspection
by UGC as per the requirement of UGC Act,1956 and Regulations 2003, for
ascertaining the academic and physical infrastructure of a University is yet to
be carried out in the case of Singhania University, Rajasthan. Singhania
University is a genuine UGC-recognized private affiliated University. One can

misinformation has been spread by MCI and also through the internet. AICTE has notified all approved
technical and management institutes to beware of fake news being spread via
social media. With this, AICTE has asked all the institutes to follow the
official website only for any news. As per the notice the council has warned
institutes against fake news being spread through WhatsApp, Instagram, Twitter, etc. This misinformation harms the reputation of the institute and it creates unwanted havoc among the students as they feel cheated. Taking into consideration
relevant provisions of the MCI Act, the High Court further held that the MCI Act stipulates recognition of
qualification and not recognition of university i.e. the degree holder shall be
eligible for registration if the degree is listed in the First Schedule of the MCI Act.
Singhania University’s MBBS and other medical courses
are listed in the First Schedule of the MCI Act. The pass out students of the
Universities holding the MBBS or MD or MS degrees are the certified practitioners
now as per Rule(ee) of the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, 1945. The educational
forum cannot decide whether an educational institute is fake or not. We should
not judge so quickly about the facts and information mentioned down on some
social media platforms. Singhania University and its certificates are valid.
